Firstly. Romania have impressed everyone as they are second on the table in Group I. They have a 100% unbeaten record in all their group-stage matches. The Romanians got off to a perfect start in qualifying for EURO 2024, winning their first two matches against Andorra and Belarus. Since then they have been winless. Tuesday's game will mark just the second meeting between Romania and Kosovo. The two sides faced off for the first-ever time in the reverse meeting of Tuesday's fixture, with the game ending goalless; but had it not been for goalkeeper Horatiu Moldovan, they would have come away empty-handed.

Secondly. UEFA's youngest nation Kosovo have shown immaturity and inconsistency despite undoubtedly having the quality in their ranks to be competitive. Some awful results in the section have held them back in what could have been a phenomenal opportunity for them to reach a first-ever major tournament, just seven years after becoming a UEFA and FIFA member. Kosovo should have beaten both Romania and Israel given the balance of play, but they could not take their chances and were eventually punished. Five games and no wins means their race is all but run for this campaign, unless they can turn all of their draws into wins in the second half of the campaign.

Kosovo's draw with Switzerland at the weekend only further adds to the frustration of those two poor results against Andorra and Belarus, as the top three are still yet to beat them. I expect them to go all out for the win this time around, and a win or a draw will be on the cards for them in this encounter with Romania.
