Both produced big surprises in group stage. Colombia qualified to round of 16 instead of Germany, Jamaica qualified here instead of Brazil.
For me Colombia is overrated here. In 2023 they played 11 matches in all competitions and failed to win 7 times. In those matches 8 times Colombia conceded at least one goal. Today they are without key defender Vanegas (scored deciding goal against Germany). In group stage Colombia won 2 of 3 matches and scored 4 goals, but that wasn't deserved at all (in 2 of 3 matches they had expected goals scored number lower than opponents). According to the expected goals scored model in those 3 matches Colombia should score 2.62 goals.
Just before World Cup Jamaica played friendly game against Morocco and won 1:0 (Colombia lost 0:1 against them in group). In group stage Jamaica continued to be rock solid at the back as they not conceded a single goal in this tournament (!!!). If You are able to keep clean sheet against two teams from top10 in FIFA ranking (Brazil & France), You are able to keep clean sheet against Colombia, no doubt about that.
I believe Jamaica is able to score here and also is able to keep clean sheet. I expect very close match, but I don't see Colombia as a favorite here. Great value.
