Brest played a goalless draw with Ajaccio in their last outing, while Nantes also played a 2-2 draw with Troyes in their last Ligue 1 outing. Going into this game, I am expecting Nantes to be able to get a result from it. These are my reasons:

Firstly. Brest have slightly improved in form recently. Brest are unbeaten in five of their last six Ligue 1 games. But they have been in and out of the relegation zone throughout the season. They have been generally poor ịn form, and have been too inconsistent to be relied on for results throughout the season. Nantes were involved in the local Cup competition and the Europa league tournament. They were very good in these tournaments, until they were eliminated in the last 16 round by Juventus in the Europa league, and made it to the finals of the Coupe de France where they lost to Toulouse. But, they have been generally bad in the league and are currently on same points as Brest. Nothing much separates these two teams.

Secondly. Brest are not a very good offensive team. They have struggled to score goals all season. They have only managed to score 35 goals in 32 games throughout the season. Apparently, Nantes, have similar offensive problem as Brest. They have also managed only 35 goals all season. Nantes and Brest have also conceded similar number of goals, at 46 and 48 respectively. They are almost evenly matched.

Both teams are alike in form, and the game is bound to be a cagey affair. But I feel like Nantes might have an edge over Brest, as they know how to beat them. They have already beaten them 4-1 earlier in the season, and may just get one over them again. I am leaning towards a win or a draw for Nantes from this encounter.
