But they are too inconsistent to be depended on to perform when it mattered, especially against a well-organized team like Nantes.

Secondly. Nantes are almost in similar position as Auxerre. They are just five points above the relegation zone. But they have shown some real fighting spirit in their games in recent times, and gotten good results against the bigger teams. In their last outing against 4th placed Monaco, they were trailing 2-0 at halftime interval. But went on to draw the game 2-2 at full time. Coming off of that performance was their win over Lyon in the Coupe de France competition. Nantes already beat Auxerre in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, and that offers them a psychological advantage.

It is going to be a cagey game, with both teams trying to distance themselves further from the relegation zone. With two points advantage over Auxerre, I do not see Nantes relinquishing that advantage over to Auxerre. In this game, expect to see those same fighting spirit and grit shown in their games against Monaco and Lyon; and Nantes should be able to get a result from this encounter. A win or a draw for Nantes.
