Those following me would’ve guessed whom I support here without opening the preview. Yes, I believe the bookmakers are not showing enough respect towards Tottenham under Conte due to their unstable results. However, there have now been 3 occasions, where the team showcased its’ big potential. First in the list was obviously the 3-2 thriller at Empty-had stadium vs. Man City. The 2nd - demolition of relegation ready Leeds (4-0). The most recent example - humiliation of Lampard’s Everton. So Tottenham is heading into the Saturday match with back-to-back wins, something they are not used to under Conte.

Harry Kane is in unstoppable form now, with Hyung Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski not falling far behind either.

With every game the team looks more as 1 unit and the 3421 system that Conte loves to preach & practice is becoming finer tuned.

Let’s not forget the opponent. Manchester is coming from an abysmal derby vs. Man City (the team that Tottenham beat 3-2 less than a month ago) and 4 conceded goals. Ralf Rangnick, who was an emergency winter appointment, has just about lost the dressing room. 0 shots on target in the 2nd half of that game, Cristiano Rolando flying to Portugal while his teammates were suffering against City, earlier atrociously bad result vs. Watford (0-0) that is losing left and right these days…I could go on with the list forever. MU is firmly set to lose the race for Champions League, which will be a financial catastrophe for the club.

We mustn’t forget there is a 2nd leg fixture vs. Atletico Madrid is on the horizon, so MU will have split minds on Saturday, trying not to lose focus on the follow-up game.

I don’t see how Rangnick would be able to pull the team together as he is clearly not the sort of person + a newcomer to the Premier League. The dressing room is almost lost and the response to whatever he has to tell at the pre-match warm-up is unlikely to work. On the pitch MU often turns to intensive, high and poorly executed pressing, which is going to be a gift to Tottenham, who were lethal in transition against Everton. If anyone is curious, you may review some of the goals from that game and admire the level of tactical awareness Conte is injecting into his players. Tottenham should return home with points from this visit, it’s hard for me to see any other outcome.
