Vitesse completed the first task of the season and managed to advance further from a very tough group in the Conference League, finishing in second place as the Rennes-Tottenham match was cancelled due to covid-19 reasons. Vitesse easily defeated Mura 3-1 in the last game, while in the Dutch championship they inflicted a heavy defeat on Cambuur at their stadium, it was 6-1 for Vitesse. It was the best game of Vitesse this season, they controlled the game and already after the 35th minute, they had a 3 goal advantage. The young Belgian Openda played great, scoring 2 goals and Vitessa's game depends on him this season. Coach Letsch gave a chance to the second goalkeeper Houwen, as the first goalkeeper Schubert did not defend very well in previous games. Vitesse is currently in the 7th position and if he wins today he could reach 4th place in the league.
