Vitoria Guimaraes prepared this season really well invested a lot in an amazing coach, Pepa who did an impressive job last season in Pacos de Ferreira achieving the 5th place easily. They didn't start well this season, but the team was performing well and it was just a matter of time for them to start scoring goals and winning games. They have now 2 wins in a row, against Famalicao for league a very tough game against an amazing coach and team and recently beat a weak team from League 3, Oliveira do Hospital. They rotated some players, but played really bad and Pepa said that Oliveira do Hospital didn't deserve to lose this game. But now they will play with the best possible XI, with Sacko instead of Joao Ferreira, the centre-back Mumin, the creative midfielder Tomas Handel and probably one of the best players in the Portuguese league Ricardo Quaresma. At home they are for sure the 4th best team in Portugal and are the 3rd club in Portugal with more associative mass. The pressure for them in every game at home is really big, but the stadium is always full with the supporters doing a lot of noise pushing the team. They are playing well, except this game for the Cup and against Benfica for the league. They don't have any absence for this game, they are so much better team than this poor Maritimo, have probably the 2 best wingers of the League and an incredible midfield.

Maritimo are in the 12th position at the moment with 7 points, but they only have 1 win in 8 games. The coach some years ago was really good Julio Velazquez, did an amazing job in Belenenses, but after that he decided to change and to be more defensive and was sacked from a lot of teams like Alcorcon, Udinese, Vitoria Setubal and probably if they lose today and 1 more game he will be sacked from Maritimo aswell. The last game they lost against a team from League 2, Varzim and were eliminated from the Cup and the president already said that the team needs to react fast or the technical team will have some changes. He is puting a lot of pressure in the players and in the coach and they will play in a very tough atmosphere with incredible supporters. They have a lot of problems when they have the ball, they don't know what to do with the ball and are just trying to defend the 0-0 always but I think that the wingers of Guimaraes are magicians like Edwards and Quaresma.
