Celta’s season is a disaster so far. Their performances recently have been terrible, and although they achieved some good results, the majority of them have been very lucky. Scored the winning goal at 94’ against Betis, were totally outplayed by Mallorca (1:1), etc.

They have won only 3 games so far after 21 rounds: Betis at 96’, penultimate in table Granada (1:0) and bottom Almería. The team lacks confidence, quality and ideas as they dont have any plan in the games: just be dominated and try to be dangerous at counters, but they have a weak defense (only three goals to nil this season) and don’t have fast players for counters.

They played in the midweek a Cup game against Real Sociedad with some starters, so they could have some fatigue here.

On the other hand, Girona continues at the top of the table. After 21 rounds they have shown that are a serious title contender, with only 1 defeat so far (against Real Madrid in September) and 51 goals scored in 21 games.

They are a very competitive team, full of confidence and also with a lot of quality. Striker Dovbyk is especially in great form with 14 goals and 5 assists, the topscorer of the league at the moment.

Girona has played a midweek game also in the Cup, using a mixed squad so will have more or less the same fatigue as Celta. However, Girona has a much better squad so they can manage the rotations keeping the quality in the lineup.

I see Girona much better team here in all aspects: tactics, quality, confidence, motivation… Previous game finished 1:0 for Girona.

Girona will dominate this match, they have a lot of quality upfront and surely will be able to score at least 1 or 2 goals here. Celta has shown that they dont have any plan to react when they concede a goal, so they will try just to hold the 0:0 results as much as they can.
