In the last round, Chelsea defeated Tottenham as a guest in a very exciting match. Exciting mostly because of Tottenham's two red cards and not because of some good play by Chelsea. Tottenham opened the match better, they took the lead already in the 6th minute, and in the 14th, Son's goal was disallowed due to a very questionable offside. After that, there were 2 red cards for the home team and everything starts to go bad for them. Chelsea celebrated convincingly, but I honestly think that the story would have been different if they had the same number of players on the field. Jackson scored 3 goals in that match, but in an almost identical way, he got the ball in front of the goalkeeper. Even though with 2 players more, Chelsea did not get chances after some created actions, they scored goals thanks to the needlessly brave play of Tottenham who left too much space in their defense. Be that as it may, the confidence in the team has risen after a lot of bad games during the season and they welcome City in good spirits. One convincing victory cannot hide that Chelsea have a lot of problems this season and in my opinion they have a very limited team. The odds on City are, at least for me, surprisingly high. The absence of De Bruyne is certainly noticeable, but it seems that they have adapted the style of play to his absence. In the last 5 games they have the same number of victories and in each of them they scored at least 2 goals. Rodri is back in the team, which is very important for their midfield play. With 1 scored goal and 4 assists in the match against Bournemouth, Doku shows that Guardiola can seriously count on him. Wolverhampton was better than Tottenham in this round and in case of victory, City has a chance to be alone at the top of the table. They are a much better team than Chelsea and I honestly think that after this match Chelsea will come back to reality. Pochettino's men will not carve out opportunities at will against an 11-man Citizens side, even with a couple of fresh defensive concerns for Guardiola to factor in.
