Manchester United are off to a pitiful start and will need to secure three points against Burnley.

Burnley haven’t changed their style at all since joining the Premier League, and against far better opposition than they met in the Championship, their attacking style of play is leaving them wide open at the back and giving up goals. With 12 conceded in 4 games, they have the worst defense in the league and have won just one point so far.

They have one of the worst squads in the league and if they don't close the door at the back will struggle a lot this season, because they don't have enough quality upfront to compensate for an average of 2 or 3 goals conceded per game.

On the other hand, Erik ten Hag’s team is really struggling, as the manager comes under pressure for both the bad results and his handling of expensive signings such as Jadon Sancho, who has been banished from the first team.

After three losses in their first 5 rounds of the Premier League this season, they have a lot of pressure and are much needed for a victory. Following another defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, morale among United fans could not be much lower at the moment, but they will take comfort from the fact their team has only lost one of their last 15 league meetings with Burnley.

It looks like they’ve forgotten how to defend, and when combining defensive mistakes with some terrible goalkeeping errors, they’re shipping a lot of goals. However, they undoubtedly have the arguments to solve these errors and improve, as they have one of the best squads in the league with TOP players on all positions.

Players like Marcus Rashford will hope to kickstart his season. Only Haaland (29) has had more than his 23 shots in the Premier League so far, but the England international has just one goal to show for those efforts.

United should have just about enough quality to win it. We saw in their defeat in Munich that they had some team spirit and did manage to score three against a good Bayern defensive unit. They’ve been poor this season but are starting to get some players back from injury, such as Raphael Varane, and there is still quality within their ranks. Any attack including Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford can create and score goals and I believe they’ll be able to bag a couple against a leaky Burnley defense.
