In my opinion Israel have bigger chances to avoid loss than bookies wants to suggest for us in their odds.

Romania have 8 points after 4 matches, one more than Israel, but guests so far played better football than hosts of today’s game.

Israel have bigger potential in attack and that should make big difference today. Guests have in attack players like Solomon from Tottenham (great start – 2 assists in 2 matches) or Abada from Celtic (1 goal and 1 assist in current season so far). Romania don’t have offensive players on this level and that was already visible in previous matches.

Romania had only 1.34 expected goals scored against poor Andorra, they had only 1.13 expected goals scored at home against poor Belarus, they failed to score against Kosovo. In last round match they had only 6 shots (0.70 expected goals scored) against Switzerland. I’m really not convinced by their weapons in attack.

On the other hand Israel played better than their results shows. In first match they failed to win against Kosovo (1:1), but they should win: expected goals scored for Israel 1.71, they conceded goal by own goal. They lost 0:3 on away against Switzerland, but that was good, cold shower as they won next two matches. In each game they scored two goals (4.12 expected goals scored for those two matches). In both matches they controlled ball well (66% and 80% ball possession) and not allowed opponents to produce many shots (13 shots faces in two matches).

Israel for me is stronger team on the paper, with bigger firepower and so far played better than Romania, despite worse results.
