In my opinion Cambuur have bigger chances than bookies wants to suggest for us in their odds.

Cambuur have superb record against Telstar as they won 14 of last 18 matches against them. Without any shadow of doubt mental advantage is on their side. In addition to that, this is not long trip for guests – it’s less than 2 hours drive by car between both clubs.

Cambuur have been relegated from Eredivisie and their main goal for current season is to bounce back there as soon as possible. They are able to do it – they added to squad some quality players for his level like Balk or Van Osch On the other hand Telstar finished last couple seasons in a row outside top6 in Eerste Divisie. Telstar lost best player from previous season (according to the ratings) Najah, second-best scorer Min and best scorer Plet. On those circumstances I see big difference between both teams in terms of quality, potential and ambitions.

Cambuur started very slow in opening match of the season at home against Emmen, they were 0:2 behind after half time, but pushed really strong in second half and match finished with draw 2:2. For sure that was good confidence boost. Cambur should win that game as they finished with 22 shots and 71% ball possession. Today I expect bigger focus and better start. Telstar in first match of the season lost 0:1 on away against Jong PSV and really looked toothless in attack.

Cambuur is more complete and have much bigger firepower. That should be visible on the pitch today.
