U de Chile is my favorite here.

They are coming from a terrible run of 4 consecutive defeats, the last one a humiliating 2:5 at home against O’Higgins. But that defeat, like the previous one, has been a bit exaggerated: they played well, with more than 60% possession and same shots as their rivals.

After that bad run of results, are now out of the top positions (TOP7), so must achieve points to continue there which is their target. More good news: one of their best players, Dario Osorio, gained confidence after scoring last weekend (his first goal in the league) and their defense remains stubborn with 25 goals conceded overall in the league, which means the 5th best defense in the tournament.

But 11 of those 25 goals were conceded in the last 4 games, so we can agree that just before this terrible run of bad results, their defense was clearly one of the best in the league.

They have one of the best squads in the league (the second best according to their value), and the TOP positions are their main target. So they still have a lot of potential and should improve soon.

On the other hand, Curico Unido isn’t doing much better than their upcoming rivals. The club achieved a last-minute 1-1 away draw at Copiapo, the league’s bottom, thanks to Diego Coelho’s goal. They rank just above the direct relegation zone and own the league’s worst defense with 34 goals conceded and have conceded 7 goals in their last 3 games. Their attack isn’t much better either, with only 21 goals scored in 20 rounds - the second worst attack of the league.

Curico Unido has lost 12 of 20 games so far, only one team has lost the same amount of games (Magallanes, who is in relegation). Even the bottom Copiapó has lost less (10).

They have a very average squad, whose value is less than half as Universidad de Chile.

I think that Universidad Chile will finally break their bad run with a win based on their defense as well as their relatively better form. Also the quality is undoubtedly on the home side. In the previous game played between both teams in February, Universidad de Chile won 1:3.
