However, I am expecting a win or a draw for Haugesund for the following reasons:

Firstly. After a 10th-placed finish in the Eliteserien last term, FK Haugesund have experienced another tough campaign this time around, having found themselves in the bottom six throughout the first half of the year. They have, at least, been able to improve their fortunes somewhat since though, having picked up four more wins from their latest eight league games, with the most recent of those being a 1-0 triumph at home to in-form Lillestrom. They do have a strong home form coming into this fixture, having won four and drawn two of their last seven home games; and they have now won their last three home games in a row.

Secondly. Rosenborg had followed up their third-placed finish last time around, earning them a place in Europa Conference League qualifying, with some struggles earlier on in the season when they picked up just 13 points from their opening 13 games of the new Eliteserien campaign, and got them sitting 12th as a result. They have been able to bounce back in impressive fashion, though, firstly ending a run of three straight defeats with a 2-1 victory over Tromso, and then followed that up with two wins and two draws to the present. They will hope to keep building momentum in the league as they hope to climb higher than the 9th postion they are currently occupying. However, they do not have a good away record, and may struggle as they travel to Haugesund.

Haugesund and Rosenborg have been in almost identical form throughout the season and either side is capable of getting maximum points in this game. Rosenborg might show signs of fatigue in the game, having played for over two hours in their continental game against Crusaders. I am backing Haugesund to be able to nick a win here as they have the home advantage on their home ground where they have looked formidable recently. So, it is a win or a draw for Haugesund for me.
