In my opinion Ludogorets is clear favorite of today’s match up and should be able to make routine win front of home crowd, maybe even with 2/3 goals difference.

I see huge difference between both clubs in terms of quality, potential and ambitions. Even if You look on the squad value – Ludogorets squad is worth 4 times more in comparison to Olimpija.

In previous round Ludogorets had very slow start as they lost opening match on away against Ballkani, but when they back to Razgrad they looked totally different. They destroyed opponents 4:0 front of home crowd. 4 days ago, also at home they trashed 5:0 Etar in league game. Confidence is on the highest possible level and looks like everything clicking together at the moment. Bernard Tekpetey is the most valuable player in Ludogorets team and currently he looks unstoppable – he scored 4 goals in last two matches.

In previous round Olimpija needed extra time to knock out poor Valmiera from Latvia. Defensive formation looked really unstable. Guests coming for this game after 1:2 loss on away in league game against Koper (4 days ago). For sure they not coming here full of confidence. Guests coach Joao Henriques is in club only since June. He still building squad and play patterns. On those circumstances is hard to expect good result for his team against such fluid team like Ludogorets.

Ludogorets in last seasons showed strong performances at home against high quality teams like Olympiakos Pireus or Malmo. On the other hand Olimpija simply not belong to this level – it’s their first campaign in Champions League qualies since 2018. They don’t have experience at this stage and also they don’t have enough quality to get qualification into third round.

Ludogorets looks sharp at the moment and today for sure they will want to start better to avoid uncomfortable position before second leg.

Hosts are much better team and that should be visible on the pitch.
