They then traveled back home to beat Emmen 4-1 in the Eredivisie opener, and everything seems perfectly fine ahead of the return meeting against Monaco at home.
AS Monaco finished fantastically last season’s Ligue 1 with 9-1-0 in the last ten which gave them bronze. But they sold Aurélien Tchouaméni to Real Madrid. They received a lot of money but the squad is weakened because nobody will be able to replace Aurélien Tchouaméni.
I think AS Monaco will be happy to drop to Europa League and then concentrate on Ligue 1. They will need some time and patience to let the young players grow before they sell the next Aurélien Tchouaméni.
