Sevilla is my favorite here.

Sevilla is having a difficult campaign. Too many injuries but the team continues performing very well. Out of the European competitions, now they can focus 100% on La Liga and maintain the 4th position which gives them access to Champions League next year.

They have a 4 points advantage with Betis (5th), but the next week they have a very difficult game against Real Madrid so the victory today is mandatory. They are winless in the last 4 games (all competitions) and if we look only at La Liga games, results are even worse: just two wins in the last 10 games. This isn’t normal for a top team like them, but the reason is mainly the injuries and the fatigue.

Both problems (especially fatigue) will be solved for today. About injuries, still have some players out but Papu Gomez is back and the players available are great to make almost the best lineup.

On the other hand, Granada is a mess. They changed the coach but their first performance against Rayo Vallecano was awful, achieving a lucky draw (2:2) thanks to both goals after a red card to Rayo and a goal from penalty at 94’.

They are playing so badly this season, the team is weak and lacking quality, while their defense is terrible with 48 goals conceded so far.

The main reason for this pick is the fact that they have (apart from the injuries) 6 important players with 4 yellow cards, one from suspension.

The next week they have a very important game at home against Levante (the bottom), where they need the victory to avoid problems with relegation, because after that game they have to visit Atletico Madrid.

This means that the important players who are with 4 yellow cards won’t be at 100% today, because if they see another yellow card will miss the “final” against Levante and the coach will be forced to put some reserve or young player (due to the amount of injuries they have).

I’m expecting a match dominated by Sevilla who need a victory urgently. Granada will be thinking about the game next week against Levante, apart from the quality difference here. If Sevilla scores soon (something possible if they start at 100% as I’m expecting and Granada at 50%), it should be an easy game for them with chances to score at least 2-3 goals.
