Leicester vs PSV Eindhoven

English Leicester host PSV from the Netherlands for this UEFA Conference League quarter finals first leg at King Power Stadium. Both teams play high-level,  quite offensive football and goals and good entertainment are most probably on the cards here!  Leicester are not too used to winning trophies and I believe they will be the slightly more motivated team here. PSV are in an intense battle in their domestic league and are currently 2nd place and slipping to 3rd place would mean burying hopes of Champion League (through qualification rounds) for next season. They also have a slim chance of lifting the trophy and earning a direct qualification among for the Champions League. Probably Ajax will be too strong an opponent to beat though. However, they might not be 100% motivated or mentally ready to succeed in this new, not very well-respected competition.. Leicester did lift the FA Cup trophy last season though after having a great season and very narrowly missed a top-4 position – and a Champions League ticket in the last round of Premier League. The team has not significantly weakened from last year – at least on paper.. This season has been a major disappointment for them though.. The potential for improvement is there for surely and we must take advantage now of the opportunity to bet on them as the betting market under-values them!

Leicester currently occupy 10th place in The Premier League the best league in the world and have nothing to play for  anymore. Conference League is the competition to excel in and give their great fans to be happy about! The home advantage is typically for international competition big, and the hosts are 53% favorites to win. The bet on Leicester to win is the smart bet for my fans and myself here. Let’s hope for yet another winner! The level of Premier League is a lot higher than that of Dutch Eredivisie. This is why we must not be fooled by the visitor’s fine results lately. They did fail to defeat Twente in their most recent match though.. It was a wild match the ended 3-3. PSV are quite vulnerable defensively and even FC Copenhagen amazingly scored 4 goals against them - in the Netherlands - in the previous round. They can surely improve but will it happen today..? I have my doubts.. Leicester do have a much more organized defense than PSV. Leicester are missing for example Ndidi and Vardy which surely hurts them but these absentees are given too much emphasis in the betting market and football media. The visitors are missing 5 players and 2 or doubtful. Leicester played a fine against Manchester United at Old Trafford in their most recent match. Surely a big confidence boost! It was a 1-1 draw and Leicester created 1.39 expected goals. Man Unite’s number was 0.99. Leicester could easily have won despite Man United being around 60% favorites to win on the betting market..
