Villareal vs Bayern Munchen

Coach Unai Emery is making a great job in Villareal, he took the team to the Champions League and was able to end the group stage in 2nd place in a group with Manchester United, Atalanta and Young Boys. In the 1/8 finals they managed to eliminate Juventus, the 1st leg ended in a 1:1 and in the 2nd leg they beat Juventus by 3:0 on the road and even the result looks amazing it really doesn't show what really happened in the game, they kinda were a bit lucky in that elimination because overall Juventus was the better team but they just couldn't take advantage of the chances that they had and little mistakes from Juventus defensive side costed Juventus that elimination. Even Villareall usually is a good home team they only managed to beat Young Boys at home in the Champions League, they have been better on the road than at home and the main reason is because at home they fill the pressure to risk more and on the road they can play the counter-attack game but overall since that big win over Juventus the team has looked kinda lost, they got beat by Cadiz and Levante and played really poor football, yes, they made some rotations but still, not a good sign to face a team like Bayern Munchen right now. For this game Villareal are without Alberto Moreno.

Bayern Munchen is always one of the favourites to win the Champions League and they are hungry this season. After Hansi Flick release because he wanted to train the Germany National Team, Bayern made a bet in Coach Nagelsmann and so far so good, the team hasn't lost a bit, still dominating and still scoring goals like crazy and the only time that Bayern looked a bit bad during this year was because of injuries problems, but those are not here right now and the team started to play once again on a very high level, they have a solid lead in the Bundesliga even there are some concerns about that Freiburg game, they beat them by 4:1 but there was a time where Bayern had 12 players for quite some seconds and maybe they will lose that game or the game will be repeated, not sure what will happen but overall it doesn't matter, the lead is big enough to relax in the Bundesliga and to put their focus on the Champions League. In there group stage they won all their 6 games with 22:3 in goals beating teams like Dynamo Kiev, Benfica and Barcelona. In the 1/8 finals they had there first slip, 1:1 in the 1st leg against Salzburg on the road, however, even there 1st half was weak in the 2nd half Bayern dominated that game and should have won that game quite easily, they just missed a lot of chances in that game but those problems where resolved in the 2nd leg where Bayern Munchen beat Salzburg by 7:1. For this game Bayern Munchen are without Tolisso and Choupo-Moting. Davies is doubtful.

Even I like what Villareal has done so far in this Champions League I just think that this Bayern Munchen team is just too much for them, if this would have been the Bayern team missing some key players a while ago I think Villareal could have a nice chance at home to come out with a positive outcome but now that Bayern has recovered those players and especially having Goreztka back once again puts Bayern on another level in my opinion, this Bayern team heathly is for me the favourite to win this Champions League with Liverpool, right now Bayern is quite healthy and playing their best football of the season and even they are on the road I believe they will get the win in this 1st leg and beat Villareal by 2:1 or 3:1.
