Portugal vs North Macedonia

After some unlucky stuff in the group stage it seems luck has found Portugal again, not only they beat Turkey by 3:1 in their first final they also saw North Macedonia beating Italy and in theory Portugal became the big favourite to get access to the World Cup 2022. Lets talk about the game against Turkey, Portugal played really well and were in total control of the game, 2:0 up in the scoreboard and with multiple chances to score the 3:0 and finish the game and out of nowhere Turkey managed to score the 2:1. After the 2:1 things got a bit even between both teams and than a stupid penalty kick provoked by Jose Fonte gave Turkey the big chance to score the 2:2 and put Portugal in big trouble but Portugal got lucky since Yilmaz failed to score and in the end Portugal managed to score the 3:1 and move on. Overall I liked what I saw from Portugal, they just needed to score one more goal when they were up 2:0 and things would never got complicated, however, in that game Portugal were missing quite some players, Pepe was out with illness and will be back here, Cancelo and Renato Sanches were suspended and are ready to play. Pepe and Cancelo are two key players for this Portugal team and I expect them to be way better with these two players on the field, on defense and also more dangerous in the attack.

North Macedonia is having a cinderella story, they had a great group stage and they are one of the teams who beat Germany on the road what was their best result in their football history but now we can put the win in Italy by 1:0 in their books too but lets talk about that game. Italy dominated that game, North Macedonia made 4 shots in compare to the 32 shots from Italy and even most of Italy shoots weren't dangerous Italy created at least 5 amazing chances to score goals and missed all of them and North Macedonia created one chance and scored very late in the game what gave them this surprising win over Italy, their goal came out of nowhere, goalkick from their goalkeeper, one touch to Trajkovski who than scored via long shot an amazing goal in the 90 plus minute what gave Italy no chances to bounce back in that game, the perfect goal at the perfect moment. One good news for North Macedonia here is that Elmas their best players will play this game, the bad news is that the game will be played on the road in Portugal once again.

North Macedonia got lucky against Italy, Italy could be there the whole day and would not score in that game but I don't see them getting lucky here against Portugal for multiple reasons, Portugal is the better team for sure, they are also playing at home what is a big edge for Portugal, not because they are at home but also they don't need to travel like North Macedonia has to and than of course, Portugal got good news, Pepe recovered from Illness and Cancelo is also clean to play, two very important players for Portugal here and even Renato Sanches is a great option for Portugal from the starting line-up or even come from the bench. Overall I see Portugal controlling the whole came here like Italy did but Portugal in the attack has more options and great players like Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Jota, Joao Felix and so on and even I really respect the North Macedonia team and what they have done so far I just think that Portugal is too big of a task for them here, I expect Portugal to beat them by at least 2 goals difference here, most likely by 3:0 or 3:1.
