They have quality, but some players are in bad form with their clubs like Isak or Lindelof, others have been injured and played just a few games like Quaison or Robin Olsen, but also there is good news in players like Branimir Hrgota or Anthony Elanga. On the other hand, Czech Republic is the main reason for this pick. They are a very competitive team, with many players from the local league, but for this match they have very important missings. The first one of their main strikers (and one of the best strikers in Europe) - Patrik Schick, who is injured (17 goals scored in 33 games with Czech Republic). Starter goalkeeper Pavlenka is out too.

Another players who are out: Vladimír Coufal, Čelůstka, Tomáš Kalas, Jan Bořil, Petr Ševčík, Matěj Vydra and Aleš Mandous.

Furthermore, they had problems with more players. Lokomotiv Moscow striker Jan Kuchta had a wedding 2 days ago (so he couldn’t train normally), while Jakub Brabec arrived later as well due to problems with the travel from Greece.

Another players are gradually recovering from long term injuries, so they won’t be at 100% yet (David Hovorka, Ondřej Kúdela, Filip Novák, Lukáš Provod o Václav Černý).

Because of all these problems and missings, the coach has called additional players from the local league which weren’t expected to be there.

As the coach said: “I’ll not lie when I say that this is a problem. There are nerves in the team but I trust the players I called later”.

So to sum up: Czech Republic will miss the whole starter defense we saw in the EURO and the main striker (who was the topscorer of the tournament).

Sweden is a team with a lot of quality upfront and experienced players at the back. I think it will be a tight game but Sweden has more quality and Czech Republic has too many problems for this meeting. Also the match will be played in Solna, so hosts will have home advantage.
