Tondela are having probably the worst week since the season started. After the last game, where they lost against Porto by 4-0 in Estadio do Dragao but where they did a good game in my opinion as they were managing to postpone Porto's goal as much as possible but then a stupid penalty by Sagnan cost them the 1st goal and then with the red card of Manu Hernando they suffered the 2nd, the 3rd and the 4th and last goal the president of the club made a very stupid decision in my opinion, he decided to sack the spanish coach Pako Ayesteran after 1 year and a half commanding the team. They are at the moment in a relegation play-off position. The new coach is Nuno Campos who made already some matches this season in Santa Clara and was terrible, he was sacked after 9 matches due to bad results and the players from Santa Clara did not like him neither his training methods, he tried to control everything that the players were doing inside and outside the pitch and they got fed up with it. It was his first experience as main coach after some years as 2nd coach of Paulo Fonseca and so he has only 9 games as coach and was sacked after that. I expect a really complicated rest of season for Tondela and most probably they can get relegated due to this bad decision. For this game their best centre-back Manu Hernando will miss it due to received red card against Porto.

Arouca are having a lot of problems this season and for sure will have until the end of the season if they want to survive and remain in the best league in Portugal. If we have a look on their last season in 2020/2021 at this time they were in the middle of the table, but then an incredible a perfect last 1/3 of season where they made 9 or 10 wins in a row gave them the chance to play the promotion play-offs against Rio Ave where they won. In my opinion they are much better team when playing as away than they are at home. Their last games as away were very good, especially the one against Guimaraes in Estadio D. Afonso Henriques where they won 3-1 and made in my opinion the best game any team in Portugal did in that stadium, then against Sporting where they lost 2-0 but we are talking about the champion in title and Arouca with 0-0 created many problems to Sporting and at half-time the score was 0-0, but Sporting started really well the 2nd half with 2 goals in a row by Islam Slimani. Arouca have 1 more point than Tondela and so this game will be a final for both teams, but if Arouca have a lot of time with this coach and do like him in the other side of Tondela will be the first game with Nuno Campos as coach and with only 2 training sessions. Their left-back is suspended after receiving 9 yellow cards in the league, but will be replaced by Tiago Araujo who is loaned from Benfica and a player that one of the best portuguese coaches in the world trusted a lot - Jorge Jesus.
