Leixoes were in the beginning of the season in my opinion a candidate to fight for the promotion due to their strong start beating very good teams, I remember them fighting in Vila do Conde against Rio Ave where they dominated them but unfortunately for them the referee harmed them and cost to Leixoes 3 points. The month of January was really tough for Leixoes as they lost so many important players like Jefferson Encada, Sapara, Nildo Petrolina and Luisinho. They are living again a good moment in terms of results as in the last 7 games they have only lost 1 game against Academica. In the last game they beat Academico de Viseu by 2-1 where they deserved it, but they made a terrible 2nd half against 10 men they conceded so many chances and suffered the goal from Viseu in 11 vs 10. Today they will play against a very tough team, the club that will fight until the last day of the competition for the promotion places. At the moment they do not have a main striker, in the last game the coach Jose Mota decided to play with a player promoted from u23 Charles, he made his 1st appearance against Viseu and scored the 1st goal of Leixoes but in my opinion he is very bad compared to Wendel and I cannot see Leixoes beating this Estrela with this offensive trio.

Estrela da Amadora have probably the most president of all the clubs in the 2nd League, his name is Andre Geraldes and he was the sports director of Sporting CP in the era of the president Bruno de Carvalho where the coach was Jorge Jesus. They had an amazing moment since Ricardo Cheu arrived, but recently they are doing very bad performances and it is costing them so many points, with 1 draw and 3 loses in their last 4 matches. I expect from them a very good reaction to their supporters and I do think that they will try to dominate this Leixoes. They are probably the club from the whole league with more supporters and that more fill the stadium as away. Estrela da Amadora are a historical club in Portugal as they were many years in the 1st League. They do not have any important absence and I think that they will do a very good game. They have one of the best players in the league and one of the best topscorers, the midfielder Diogo Pinto who has the topscorer of the first season of u23 League in Portugal. Probably what was affecting the performance of the team in the last games was that their right-back and one of the best in the league, the son of the coach Sergio Conceiçao (his name is Sergio Conceiçao aswell) was injured and very good news for them that he probably can play tomorrow in the starting XI.
