In my opinion Barcelona have really good chances to make win in today's match up.

Estadio Mestalla is not easy place to play, but Barcelona have extremely solid record here - they didn't lost in 13 of last 14 matches here. In previous season Barcelona won here 3:2. In first match of the season between both teams Barcelona won 3:1 at home so they have good mental advantage.

Both teams have squad problems at the back. Valencia is without first goalkeeper Cillessen, key central defender Paulista and important right defender Correira. It's a problem before today's match: Valencia conceded 329 goals in 173 La Liga matches against Blaugrana. Barcelona is without experienced defenders duo Pique/Alves, but defensive formation Alba/Garcia/Mingueza/Dest still looks OK in my eyes.

Valencia coach Jose Bardalas have very poor record against Barcelona in his managerial career - 8 losses in 11 matches. Valencia form is not good at all - since end of the December they played 10 matches in all competitions and they won only against two lower league clubs in Cup and against Cadiz from relegation zone. In last round they lost 1:2 on away against 19th Alaves and that wasn't convincing performance at all. They are yet to win a La Liga match in 2022 and have lost 4 of last 6.

Without any shadow of doubt Barcelona improving with Xavi bench. They didn't lost in last 8 consecutive La Liga matches so confidence in team should be sky high. At midweek they played in Europa League against strong Napoli at home (1:1). I believe that was one of the best performance from the team under Xavi. Expected goals scored for Barcelona 1.99, for Napoli 0.86. They should go with momentum today.

Valencia conceded at least one goal in 9 of last 10 league matches (5 times even more than one). On the other hand Barcelona scored at least one goal in last 13 matches in all competitions (7 times more than one). If they continue to play in attack on the level from match against Napoli, they are able to score more than one goal today and that should be enough to make a win.
