Great odds on Crystal Palace here, who will take on Brentford in a rather low-key London derby. Both clubs, of course, represent the English capital. The two stadiums are separated by just an hour drive.

Crystal Palace are amongst the top teams this season in the Premier League by a lot of various metrics. In terms of created chances - they sit in the top 8; they are also in the same top 8 range for the scoring chances given away in front of their goal. Evidently the current 13th position in the standings do not do the team or its’ manager Patrick Vieira justice.

Their recent 1-1 draw away to Norwich was another example of poor luck and low conversion rate of the offensive triangle Zaha-Benteke-Ayew. After conceding a fluke goal in the 1st minute, CP went on to produce 13 shots (5 on target) with 72% of ball possession, while scoring an equalizer and then missing a penalty. Draws have been the main tune of the season for Crystal Palace - only Brighton (12) and Burnley (11) have recorded more than Vieira’s men.

Visitors have no squad issues other than the absence of Nathan Ferguson.

For hosts the situation is dramatically different. Brentford may be sitting next to Crystal Palace in the table, but that is only due to their outstanding start to the campaign. After a couple of superb months, their results and performances declined and they now look set to flirt with relegation, in my opinion.

The home team is on a run of 6 consecutive defeats in all competitions, including the 1-4 FA Cup vs. Everton on February 5th. With the state Everton currently in, losing to them with a scoreline like that… tells a big story.

I love the odds, which are set in Brentford’s favor - the offer for away win is more than generous and I expect Vieira’s men to start getting their well deserved points in the 2nd half of the season.
