Perth Glory starts their A-League season today against Adelaide United.

Last year they finished 6th and lost in the semifinal of playoffs against champions of Sydney.

However for this new year they are far away from that level and I would say they will not even reach the playoffs.

Coach Popovic left, one of the best coaches in Australia and with him many key players. In ACL remaining games they lost 4 games and managed to get 1 draw under the new coach Richard Garcia.

Most of the players signed are from Australian lower divisions and some foreigners like def Langkamp experienced in German Bundesliga and def Ota from Nagoya Grampus.

Def Malik (14/0),mid Wilson (6/0),st Castro (24/4) and st Oikonomidis (12/3) should be out for this game while there are no informations for the foreigners signed if they completed the quarantine.

Adelaide United in other hand collected 4 points in 2 first games. They managed to beat Melbourne City and a draw against Western United.

Coach Carl Veart knows very well this team after has been assistant from 2008. In transfer market they lost also many players but managed to get some new signs like st Juric maybe the best striker in A-League who scored in last game or def Javi Lopez.

Adelaide United showed a lot of solidity and despite Perth Glory have some top players will have difficulties to get more than a draw in this game.
