Portimonense are doing an amazing season so far and in the last week they were in the 5th position. The president decided to invest in the coach Paulo Sergio after the last season where 2 seasons ago they ended the season in relegation places, but luckily for them Vitoria Setubal were relegated for not paying to the player on the 3 previous months. And they kept some important players in the squad and they are integrating the ideas of Paulo Sergio really well. Their last 2 games were not good, they lost 2 games in a row against Maritimo and the last against Mafra from the 2nd League. Against Maritimo they did a very good game in my opinion and deserved to win, but they missed so many chances and against Mafra they deserved to lose because they committed so many individual errors that cost them some goals. They made more points playing as away than playing at home, but anyway I think this is the game where everything can change. They will give the initiative to Vitoria Guimaraes and will try to explore the counter where they are very dangerous. This week some newspappers were saying that Aylton Boa Morte was going to leave to United Arabian Emirates but Portimonense refused the offer and so probably he will keep until the end of the season, but for sure that for this game he is able to start in the XI as he is one of the most important players. They have a big must win after the elimination against Mafra with a strong defeat by 4-1 against a team from the 2nd League. If we forget about the last game they are in a very good shape in terms of performance.

Vitoria Guimaraes are so far the biggest disappointment of the season after they sign of the coach Pepa who did an incredible job in Pacos de Ferreira. The players are really unmotivated, some of them did not receive the salaries of the last 2 or 3 months. They come for this game after 3 bad results (2 loses and 1 draw). First against Santa Clara they made the worst game of the season with a lot of goals chance conceded and I really think that they only created 1 chance in the whole game, then at home against Boavista where they made a bad 1st half then improved in the 2nd half, but as always after scoring the goal they started to defend the result and conceded a stupid goal. In the last game was terrible too, the result of 3-2 is quite misleading as Gil Vicente had so many chances and could have scored really easy 4 or 5 goals. With some surprise the best player of the team Marcus Edwards started on the bench to play with Ruben Lameiras and Ricardo Quaresma and in the 2nd half he was subbed in and Guimaraes improved a lot. They are with a lot of pressure after the bad results and will have a really tough game as both teams are fighting for the same objective, the 5th place that gives acess to the European competitions. The winter market is already open and there are a lot of players that want to leave the club, and so the head of the players is not on this game. They have 2 terrible news for this game, the winger Marcus Edwards received red card against Gil Vicente and the captain Andre Andre will miss for suspension too. I cannot see they beating Portimonense as away.
