Santa Clara vs Sporting CP

Santa Clara is having a really hard time this season, many problems of preparation for this season and also many changes and one big problem in Portugal with teams who play a lot of games because of the European Competition is that this type of teams like Santa Clara really get hurt by it, last season Rio Ave got relegated in the same situation than Santa Clara, besides the three big clubs in Portugal this type of situations really hurt their teams because they don't have the squad to play all those games and that's why they are current on 15th place even their squad is good enough to survive in this league. Not only the many games they already played has been an issue but also they haven't found their identity has a team on field and they have the 2nd worst defense and the 2nd worst attack in the league what really shows their struggles and even they are coming of 2 wins at home, today they will face the Champion, I remember Porto won here by 3:0 and complety dominated them, so it's expected an similiar game once again for them. For this game Santa Clara are without Ramos, Mikel and Allano.

Sporting ended the first half of the season in 2nd place with the same points than Porto, only the goal average is different but overall 14 wins and 2 draws in 16 games has put them in great shape to defend their title this season and under Coach Ruben Amorim Sporting has been amazing, especially in the league, only 1 loss in one an a half season and that loss was against Benfica in a game they rotated most of their players. Playing on the road has not been an issue for Sporting, they won their last 5 road games and that includes tough road trip to Pacos de Ferreira where they won 2:0, they also beat their rival Benfica on the road by 3:1 and Gil Vicente who is always a tough team to face on the road by 3:0. Sporting just looks good lately, scoring more and super secure on defense. For this game Sporting are without Cabral, Feddal, Vinagre and Ferreira.

Even Sporting has more players injured none of them are that big a deal, however, on Santa Clara side they will miss two key defenders for this game what is a big deal, especially now where Sporting attack is finally finding their groove and scoring more goals and creating more. Overall I expect a similiar game that Porto played here in Santa Clara, Porto dominated the whole game and won easily and I expect Sporting to do the same, dominating the game and if they take care of their chances they should at least get the 3 points here, but I also like the Sporting -1AH here too.
