Milan were extremely unfortunate to draw their weekend game against Parma (2:2). It was all down to visitors' World Class efficiency in front of goal and, in turn, Milan's wastefulness with their chances. Given such games don't usually come back to back, I am positive, il Rossoneri will be able to bounce back with a win against one of the league's weakest oppositions.

There is very little to be positive about for Genoa, who keep struggling around the relegation zone for yet another year. They were close to Serie B in 2019/20 campaign and fortunes have not changes in 2020/21 as they look firm candidates to fight it out with the likes of Spezia or Crotone for who will avoid the fate of dropping to a lower division.

At the moment Genoa sit 2nd from bottom with a mediocre 1 win after 11 rounds. They have the joint worst attacking record with Crotone (10 scored), which is one of the reasons to highly rate Milan's chances tonight. On top of that, Genoa is still without regular defenders Zapata or Criscito. Their absence has surely been contributing to recent defeats and the 3 conceded goals vs. Juventus. Speaking of that game, I'd like to reflect on the massive advantage Juventus had - the dominance was simply overwhelming with 29%-71% ball possession, 2-14 shots, 0-10 corners and 13-68 dangerous attacks. In other words, Genoa made it into the final third of Juve's half just 13 times in 90 minutes.

Milan has been a consistent force under Pioli this season and deservedly lead the table. They still can't rely on Zlatan tonight, even though the Swede's made it back to full fitness and had been training without restrictions.

There are also defensive concerns as Simon Kjaer is unavailable. However, with Genoa's offensive impotence Kjaer's absence may go easily unnoticed.

Milan is 5-0-0 on the road this season and it genuinely looks as if it makes no difference for them where to play. I don't expect Genoa to show improvement over such a short period of time in comparison to their weak display against Juventus at the weekend and look forward to a confident away win.
