While I write this on Saturday there are no covid cases in Getafe but a few defensive absentees like Djene for other reasons, but with the huge pace of omikron things may change quickly. However I am not backing my decision here on that, but on the fact that even if Real do miss several good players like keeper Courtois, Vinicius and Valverde the fact remains that the opening eleven of Real Madrid is still good enough to win even the Champion's league! The league´ s best midfield of Kroos, Casemiro and Modric is there in full strenght, so is best striker Benzema, best defender Alaba and not so long ago one of worlds best wingers Hazard, who this time can show his abilities on his favoured left side in the absence of Vinicius.

The long story short, Getage are narrowly out of relegation zone thanks to a 92nd minute winning goal last time over Osasuna, but they should not be as in my papers they are league's 2nd worst outfit along with Cadiz.

Real Madrid on the other hand have been excellent in most of their games, and in times when they have been mediocre they have been saved by Benzema and Vinicius. I have a feeling though that on Sunday we will also see the best of Hazard, this is his chance to shine!

Since losing to Espanyol Real are 9-2-0 in the league, both draws being 0-0 at home vs half-bottom sides and with Getafe that is always a possibility as they do approach things defensively, but the personnel just is not good enough, and there are even bigger defensive holes than usual. I expect Cabaco to suffer in the middle of the defense, and a red card or two for Getafe here would surprise no one.

Getafe do not create changes, they have no reliable striker to score from the few they do create, the defense has been acceptable in most games, but they do struggle badly against the top teams and this looks like a 0-3 game to me.
