Last game of the year in Russia and I am feeling confident about Dynamo's chances not to lose on the road in Sochi.

Hosts were anything but convicing in their last outing against Spartak Moscow, albeit the 1:0 win. In the opening half they were absolutely smashed and had to be trailing by 2 goals, if visitors were more clinical with their chances. Then a wonder goal from Christian Noboa in the 2nd half decided matters in Sochi's favor.

On paper their recent record does look impressive, however, if we look back at the game they had against Akhmat Grozny earlier (2:0), it did not go smooth for Sochi either. On 0:0 Akhmat had a penalty kick saved and then Sochi once again found a way to get all 3 points in a game they were not dominating.

The team news for hosts are pretty neutral here. Central defender Mammana is suspended, which is hardly an issue, while the rest of the squad is match fit.

Dynamo have slowed down after a wild start under new manager Sandro Schwarz. Former Mainz head coach enjoyed a successful few games in charge, before things became significantly more complicated on the road against Rostov (1:4) and Zenit (1:3). The weekend match was particularly tough as the reigning champion proved too much for Dynamo to handle.

To be totally fair on Dynamo, both Rostov and Zenit are in great form at the moment, so regardless of the big scorelines, defeats in those games can be justified.

On the positive note, visitors are set to welcome regular winger N'Jie, who had been limited to just 2nd half cameo appearances in last two games following an injury. The only issue for visitors is the absence of left fullback Skopintsev, who is set to miss his 3rd game in a row.

Even if it seems as a bold call, considering recent results, I still rate Dynamo as the classier of the two teams. Visitors have more talent across the pitch with the likes of Polish international winger Szymanski or Russian U21 prospect Lesovoy, especially standing out. Morever, Sochi were beaten in the reverse fixture in Moscow by Dynamo (1:3) in October.

There is also a trend for Sochi to perform worse following "big" results, which the weekend win against Spartak Moscow certainly was.

Finally, they are yet to be beaten at home, which is also an abnormal record, given the fact Sochi's "home advantage" is quite poor as there is no actual fan base for them and the average attendance at the stadium is low.

I expect Dynamo to bounce back here and avoid a loss in this final match of the year.
