Germany vs Portugal

Germany is trying to find themselves to compete once again to win big trophies and with Coach Nagelsmann we are starting to see some better results and now they play the Nations League playoffs at home, perfect chance for them to finally win something and built for the future competitions. Germany will have homecourt advantage since the game will be played in Munich and they are here after eliminating in their last round Italy after a 2:1 road win and a 3:3 at home, that home game was a bit strange, Germany dominated the game and where 3:0 up in the first half and in the 2nd half they played more relaxed and tried to control the game only and suffered 3 goals but the elimination was never at risk but it must be a good lesson to not let go in their future games.

Portugal on the other side is still battling to find themselves has a team, with Coach Martinez nothing has really changed and there are already rumours that he will get sacked whatever result happens and personally I think he should, this Portugal team is hard to watch, they have ton of talent but has a unit on the field it just doesn't work at all under Coach Martinez who uses bad tactics and his substitutions have been quite awful too in my opinion. They are also here with a lot of luck, they lost 0:1 on the road against Denmark in an awful match, they were very lucky to only lose by one goal in that game and at home they won 3:2 with a very late goal from Trincao who send the game to extra-time and Portugal beat Denmark in the end by 5:2 but the team was not convincing at all.

For me we have the home team who is trying to built something for the future and who have been showing improvements under Nagelsmann and Portugal who has been struggling under Coach Martinez and who already planning for the future without him and historically Germany has been always a bad match-up for Portugal, since 2006 they haven't beat Germany or even get a draw, 5 losses in a row with 15:5 in goals favouring Germany and I think that today we will see another win for Germany, who will play at home with the support of their fans and facing a Portugal team who hasn't found themselves yet has a collective team and also who had some key players coming in late because they played for PSG Champions League final and who maybe will not start or a bit tired for the game, so, I think Germany has here a great chance to get their ticket to the final and beat Portugal here.
