We have all been waiting for the start of the 2025 Allsvenskan, and today it is finally time. At 3Arena, current champions Malmo welcome Djurgardens IF, and we are looking for a game that will see much of it. Malmo once more begin the campaign as massive favorites, and nobody is surprised considering how much better they are supported. Ahead of this campaign, they have signed former Norrkoping talisman Arnor Sigurdsson, who has been on the periphery at CSKA Moscow, Venezia and Blackburn. He signed on a free transfer, but the salary is far from free. At Djurgarden, the biggest change is off the pitch in the coaching position. Kim Bergstrand and Thomas Lagerlof were dismissed last autumn, after one of their derby losses, and now comes Finnish Jani Hookavara. He has been pretty unknown in Sweden up till now, but he's a coach who likes to play attacking football and has done incredibly well with KuPS, whom he won the double with last year. Djurgarden typically can keep up with Malmo, but in a premiere, where all of the players are actually contractually bound to a thousand – I feel that MFF is too strong. Furthermore, Djurgarden has not been impressive during the preseason.
