City’s biggest loss is Rodri, their most crucial midfielder. City hasn’t lost a game this season when Rodri has played, highlighting his immense value. In addition, Manuel Akanji and Oscar Bobb will also be absent for the visitors.

Rodri’s absence is a big blow but he has been out for a long time and City’s attack remains dangerous. Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, and Phil Foden still form a fearsome trio, meaning Madrid cannot simply rely on defending a lead—especially given how easily City created scoring chances in the first leg.

City goalkeeper Ederson has been shaky this season, as seen in the first leg, where Real Madrid’s first two goals resulted from situations he could have handled better. However, he regained confidence and performed strongly against Newcastle over the weekend.

If City wants to advance, Ederson must be at his best. As City are out of EPL title fight this is their goal for the season, and for sure they have the personnel to do it, and the odds are generous!
