Benfica Lisbon has not yet checked off the group stage of the Champions League. On the last day of the game, the Portuguese still have the chance to move into the knockout phase of Europe's strongest competition with the help of a shooter. For this, however, Benfica has to win the home game against Dynamo Kyiv. The Wednesday opponent, on the other hand, will finish Group E bottom of the table. For the Ukrainians, the last group game is all about the “golden pineapple”. Although Dynamo scored a point against Benfica in the first half of the season, bookies see the guests from Ukraine as clear underdogs among the home-strong Portuguese. So far, Benfica has won every home game against Dynamo Kyiv. The last time was in the Champions League group stage in 2016/17, where the Eagles moved into the second round of the Champions League as runners-up. Because Benfica has the lead in a direct comparison against Barca the Portuguese can take second place even if they are tied with them. Nevertheless, the starting position is by no means bad, especially since the Catalans have to win against mighty Bayern in Munich,in order not to deviate from second place in the event of Benfica's success. For the Portuguese, however, the home game against Dynamo Kyiv comes in handy. So far, Benfica has won all home games against Wednesday opponents from Ukraine. Dynamo Kyiv is playing for nothing tonight and I think motivation will play a big part in this game, so I think it's a good bet to back Benfica to win with at least two goals difference.
