Otherwise this match lacks motivation, both teams are out and Alashkert's focus is in the local league. Alashkert did change their coach a month ago, and with the new face the results have been equally unstable in all competitions and in fact they are only 7th in the table with 13 points from 11 games. Over the weekend they also lost a cup game 2-0 to a weakish Urartu, even if fielding a relatively strong lineup! The whole game or the highlights are freely available, the defense of Alaskert was opened like can of sardines!

In this conference league both have had had to notice that both LASK and Maccabi very classwise a lot ahead, and in the first encounter in Armenia HJK won 2-4, but to be honest they needed the help of the first half red card for Alashkert.

HJK home form against the weaker teams is very strong, they tend to start seriously and they have destroyed several stronger teams on their artificial and very fast pitch. The weather tonight is rainy and it makes the conditions for the visitors even harder. 

The HJK squad situation is excellent as only long-term absentees are out. This is also the farewell game for the captain O'Shaugnessy who transfers to Karlstuhe after the game.
