Spartak is in huge trouble. They are a very weak team, winless in the last 7 games, 10th position in the Russian Premier League (and 14 points below the leader Zenit).

The season is going so bad, and that’s why according to all the rumours in Russia, the coach Rui Viitoria will be fired in the next international break. This means that players have no motivation anymore, and just are waiting for the new one and to see changes in the team, which are much needed.

Spartak is an offensive team. In this competition they achieved a draw against Leicester (1:1), where their goalkeeper was the man of the match, even saving a penalty. In the other game, they were outplayed and lost 3:4. Lost against Legia 0:1 conceding a goal at 91’ and achieved the victory against Napoli 2:3 in a match where Napoli played with 10 players due to a red card from 29’.

Napoli is in excellent form. In spite of the defeat this weekend against Inter, they are sitting leaders of the Serie A after 13 rounds and also leaders of this Europa League group. But they need a victory today to qualify because the next (and last) round will be against Leicester City, a pretty strong team and who needs the victory.

They have some injuries here, such as Politano, Osimhen and Zanoli. But they have a great squad with nice replacements so it won't be a problem. With a much weaker squad than today, they easily beat Legia in the previous round (1:4).

Spartak has nothing to lose, so I think they will propose an offensive match here. They may be confident to win again, but we must remember that the victory was played against 10 players for ⅔ of the game. Furthermore, their internal problems with the coach makes me think that they have a lack of motivation, as we are seeing in their last results.

Napoli has the quality here and needs the victory. If Spartak makes an offensive match, it will be great for them because in those cases, the team with more quality upfront use to get the victory. And undoubtedly, the Italians have the quality here.
