In my opinion Sporting have really good chances to make at least one point in today's match up.

First match between both teams finished with Borussia 1:0 home win, but that was very lucky win: expected goals scored for Borussia 0.28, for Sporting 0.36.

Since that game Sporting is in red hot form. They recorded 9 wins in a row in all competitions and they have all required tools to continue that streak today. What is the most important-they don't have any important absences before today's match. Freshness as well should be on their side as they played last match 6 days ago at home in Cup. They don't have to travel anywhere. In addition to that, not too many Sporting players were involved in National teams matches. Team is in good form, fresh, fully prepared and focused for today's match.

On the other hand Borussia still have big squad problems. Their best player and best scorer Haaland is still unavailable same as Reyna, key winger Hazard had positive test result and he will not play. Borussia don't have too many options upfront at the moment - only Reus is in good form, but he is 32 years old already. Defensive formation as well looks very unstable for me. Team captain and key central defender Hummels is suspended and this is huge blow. Since match against Sporting, they conceded at least one goal in 7 of 9 matches.

Borussia have 2 days less to recover than Sporting because they played their last match at Saturday. They won 2:1 against Stuttgart at home, but that wasn't convincing at all. Players looked tired. Almost all Borussia first team players were involved in National team matches in previous week. Now they have less time to rest and they have to travel to Lisbon.

Sporting is very strong at home. They didn't lost any match at home in previous league season and they are still without loss in current season. On the other hand Borussia is much worse when have to play on away-in Bundesliga they lost 3 of 5 away matches so far, when they have perfect 7/7 record at home.

Freshness, home advantage, great form with mixture of big confidence should give at least one point for Sporting today front of home crowd.
