Real Madrid should win here.

Granada is a terrible team. In spite of their recent performances (one defeat in the last 5 games), their season is a disaster. With the new coach they don't have any style, players are not giving their best and are far from their best level.

They have a problem in defence, conceding goals and chances in every match. This problem was present also in the previous season, but was solved thanks to their great attack and the intensity they use to put on the field, something which is missing this season. Granada has scored only 11 goals so far after 12 games played.

For this fixture they will miss two starters: Milla and Duarte. Furthermore, other starters like Machis most probably will start on the bench as he played with the national team and is exhausted.

Real Madrid is doing well this season. They are not as strong as previous years, but are winning matches and sitting 3rd in the table. Winning today, will be the leaders. They are a solid side, defending well and scoring goals easily (29 in 13 games) thanks to the great level of Benzema and Vinicius.

They have a difficult calendar in the next rounds: Sevilla (1st), Athletic Bilbao (difficult rival) and Real Sociedad (2nd), Atletico Madrid (4th), so the victory here is pretty important because it’s a very easy rival on paper.

I spoke with several fans of Granada and all of them told me the same: "The most normal is to see a defeat of our team there. We can win as this is football, but this team have not showed any hope to think that we can avoid a defeat against Real Madrid today".

Madrid has won the last 12 matches played against Granada, scoring 40 goals (3.3 per game), and I don't see a reason to think that we can see a different result today. Granada is a terrible team this season and Madrid, far from their best level, is one of the best Spanish teams right now and of course is above Granada in quality and performances.
