After 4 games they decided to sack the coach who did an amazing job in 2020/2021 Rui Borges, he left Academica and 2 days after joined Nacional da Madeira and they brought back Joao Carlos Pereira who was champion for Grasshoppers in the 2nd division in Switzerland. Joao Carlos Pereira moved from Academica to Grasshoppers 2 seasons ago after a good end of season he did for Academica, but then was when the Covid appeared and they suspended the league and then he left Academica. I think that the decision to sack Rui Borges was not good as he is one of the best coaches in the 2nd League in my opinion, but the choice of Joao Carlos Pereira was really good and I really think that he will save Academica from the relegation places, he just need some time for the team start playing the way he wants and today they have the best opportunity to have their first win in the league and they really need to. They have only 2 points and are in the last position with 5 points less than the 17th Varzim (but Academica have -1 game). They will face a team with some absences, specially their best player that received red card in the last game. Big must win for Academica, full stadium with their supporters knowing the importance of this game against a team with some absences.
