Romania vs Iceland

Romania is coming of a major win over Armenia what has put Romania in the very important 2nd place and for them to end up in 2nd place they just need to win their games against Iceland and Liechtenstein and I like their chances in both of this games, to be fair, Liechtenstein should be an easy win and this is their real final. Romania at home have been really solid, they won 3 out of 4 and their only loss at home was against Germany by 0:1 but against the team they are favourite they had no problems to beat them at home and this version of Iceland should not be a problem for them to beat either, they already beat them 2:0 on the road and they aren't fighting for nothing. Overall Romania is the favourite here, they are a good defensive team with some issues in the attack, they do miss a lot of chances but at home they have been solid and should be able to managed to score multiple times here.

Iceland is a very different team from the past success, they are in 5th place and out of the World Cup already and to be fair, they looked awful in this qualification, 2 wins, both against Liechenstein like expected, 2 draws and 4 losses and even in their two draws they were kinda lucky to get those draws. Overall the team gave up quite some time ago and that's why they rotated the squad with young players to give them more playing time and already thinking about the future because their golden generation is over and now they need to built another generation, they have some good young players but overall the team is weak, yes they are coming of a 4:0 win over Liechenstein but Liechtenstein is the team who lost 7 of 8 games in this group. Iceland is in rebuild mode and are coming to this team without any expectation, of course, they have no pressure what can be a good thing for them.

Romania knows very well what is in stake here, a win here pratically gives them the 2nd place because I don't see this team losing points to Liechtenstein, they already won a game where the pressure was even higher, they really needed to beat Armenia, a draw would not be enough and they won, now they need here to win this game too and overall I believe they will, Iceland isn't fighting for nothing here and Romania has a good team with way more talent than this Iceland team and playing at home anything besides a win would be a surprise for me, I expect Romania to control the game and create enough chances to score here multiple times because this Iceland defensive line has many problems that Romania can take advantage off. I see Romania winning here by 2:1 or 2:0 like in the first encounter against Iceland.
