I will have to admit, Crystal Palace under Patrick Vieira has proved me bitterly wrong.

I was expecting nothing good to come from that collaboration and for the Arsenal legend to collapse with Eagles. However, for a month now they’ve been showing one of the most entertaining and amusing sides to watch in the Premier League.

A streak of 3 consecutive draws must’ve left them fuming, given the advantage they had in all of those games. If we look at the opponents they faced, the level of appreciation for Crystal Palace would increase by default. Brighton, Leicester and Arsenal all deserved to be beaten when facing Vieira’s team. Perhaps, only the Foxes with Brendan Rogers were a match to this Crystal Palace team. All other opponents were simply outplayed and dominated.

As Crystal Palace have the home advantage here and no squad issues to deal with, we can expect them to show the same level of football as in weeks prior.

Newcastle have been making the headlines in England and across the world due to the new ownership and potential move into the elite pool of football clubs. However, obviously, they can’t do much until the winter transfer window starts. Til then they Newcastle will remain the same material team with a below par manager and a very unbalanced squad. Magpies are deservedly sitting in relegation zone, still winless, and their recent displays do not suggest a turn/improvement is anywhere on the horizon.

I expect fortune to pay its debts to Vieira and Crystal Palace to get a convincing win against collapsing Newcastle.
