Waterford shouldn’t lose here.

They are doing really well lately, and have big hopes to avoid relegation. They have improved a lot since the new coach arrived some months ago. Also made good transfers like Patterson from Tottenham, veteran defender Halford and a young striker from Charlton (Junior Quitirna) who already scored 3 goals in the last 9 games.

As said, Waterford improved their performances and results a lot lately. In the last 10 games, they are the 2nd best team of the league, just below leaders and best team of the league Shamrock. In the last 13 games only lost two: Against Shamrock and St. Patricks (2nd in table), the two best teams of the league, and the two games playing away. At home have won 5 of the last 7, while drew the other 2. So they are unbeaten since June.

On the other hand, Finn Harps is a very similar team. They are 1 posicion above Waterford, with 4 points difference. They are a very irregular team, able to beat 2:1 the leaders Shamrock but also to draw 1:1 the bottom and worst team of the league Longford. They are a weak traveller, as they lost 9 games out of 15 played.

Only 6 matches remaining to end the season, this could be the last chance for Waterford to avoid relegation, especially seeing that 2 of those 6 games will be against Shamrock (1st) and Bohemians (2nd), the two best teams of the league.

Odds dropped from 3.50 to 2.50 in favour of Waterford and I agree with that. Finn Harps shouldn’t be favorite, hosts are in much better form and I see them totally able to avoid a defeat and get some point from here
