In my opinion Mexico have been under-rated on the betting market for years. The do not have any world-class stars but also have no obvious weaknesses and have reached excellent results several times in recent years at the highest level - for example beating the former World Champions Germany 1-0 back in the 2018 World Cup. The almost always have a very organized team, great team spirit and an excellent coach. Whilst they rarely scored huge numbers of goals I believe they have a pretty high chance of winning by at least two goals today versus a pretty lowly team Honduras especially at home in front of  extremely enthusiastic home fans. They have been a very good home team for years already defeating a lot more tougher opponents than Honduras. Mexico have been in great shape for a long time losing just one of their ten latest matches - and even the loss came versus a good team USA through the 30 minutes extra match. Robinson scored the 1-0 winning goal in the 117th minute but Mexico played another good match this day. In their most recent match Mexico played well against a rising football country, Canada despite the 1-1 draw at home. I would day Canada were clearly better than expected  and defended very well, but Mexico were still the better team on the pitch and would have earned a win by one goal. They did have some 55% ball possession and created more scoring chances. Before this match they played another draw - this time versus Panama away from home. Panama are a better football country than Honduras and the 1-1 draw was not a major upset really. Once again Mexico would have deserved to win after having 56% ball possession and having twelve scoring attempts - Panama had five. These two slightly disappointing results seem to affect the odds too much.

Honduras, on the other hand, are in bad form. They have not won any of their latest five matches and have been playing pretty bad indeed. They would have to improve quite a lot to grab even a point here. This is possible but not very probable in my view as they squad overall - especially in terms of offensive quality - is pretty limited. Their defense is probably too weak here against to survive the pressure from Mexico's talented offensive players, who will probably score at least two goals!

To sum up, I believe in Mexico today and -1.5 goals handicap is me pick for my growing fan base here!
