Gameday in Lorient for the round 9 of the Ligue 1 between Lorient & Clermont.

Lorient will be without Morel & Grbic injured. Abergel is suspended.

Clermont on their side will be without Khaoui & Allevinah who are injured. Hamel is not eligible to play because he is on loan from Lorient.

Lorient is actually ranked 6 with 3 wins, 4 draws & 1 loose for 9 goals scored & 8 goals conceded.

The particularity of Lorient is that at home they have an artificial turf so it might be a difficult thing for opponent at the early of the game.

Lorient is really not a team who can compete and be in the top 10, they haven't too much qualities, they have their top striker Terem Moffi who joined the team last year, he scored 16 goals in 40 games.

For me clearly they will fight against the relegation this season. On the field they are not providing a too good football under their coach Christophe Pélissier.

Clermont on their side is ranked 15 with 2 wins, 3 draws & 3 losses for 11 goals scored & 19 goals conceded.

Their defense stats is awful because of their game against Rennes where they lost 6-0 and it wasn't a normal performance. 

Against Paris they also lost heavily, 4-0 but they played really good.

The really good thing for Clermont is that they could keep Mohamed Bayo their top striker, he was close to leave to Bordeaux. Despite the fact that I don't like how he is acting, going to nigh club and bars every week end he is doing a great job.

Clermont is also very unlucky with a lot of bad decisions who would have change the whole game as a red card not given etc.

Even if results are not good, Clermont is one of the team who is playing the best football in Ligue 1 under their coach Pascal Gastien.

He has a really good philosophy and it make Clermont's games very interesting.

This team surprised a lot because usually team who are promoted in Ligue 1 will usually play very defensively and not providing a good football.

Even against PSG they played an offensive game.

It won't be an easy game for Clermont but clearly it's a 50/50 game about qualities but about the football played, Clermont has an advantage.
