I will probably continue going against Ural at every opportunity, when they are rated as favorites by the bookmakers.

They did cause an upset last week drawing fortunately 0-0 against Lokomotiv Moscow, but still looked as depressing as ever going forward.

I have already reviewed Ural’s mishaps on the market twice - how they failed to get any signings, fired their manager in August and assigned a replacement, who’s not made any difference to their gameplay whatsoever and how they’ve been playing all their home fixtures at a deserted stadium due to C-19 restrictions. Arsenal Tula was a team I backed to succeed last round on the road against tricky Nizhniy Novgorod (who had beaten Dinamo and Spartak in Moscow earlier) and they delivered a blockbuster 3-2 result, scoring the winner at the death.

Tula is currently on a huge wave of enthusiasm being elevated by the arrival of a decent Montenegrin specialist Miodrag Bojovic. They’ve taken 4 points in 2 Premier League rounds under him, scoring 5 (!) in the process.

Their squad is of higher quality and depth than Ural’s + the psychological edge in this tie is also too obvious.

The given +0.5 handicap is all about value as Arsenal Tula will come into the match considering themselves worthy of all 3 points and set to extend their good run under Bojovic.

If anything, I surely can’t see Ural putting an end to their misery this time out.
