Boavista was the team with the worst pre-season in structural terms. They weren't able to register their new signs, 7 players. They started the official season with 4 players from u23 team of the last season and some u19 and even with this problem they beat Maritimo (0-1) and beat Portimonense (2-0). For the league they have 7 points in 4 games, with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 lose. I expected a worse start by them in the league, but they started with a lose against Gil Vicente (3-0) but in that game they weren't still able to play with the new signs, but they were after this match against Gil Vicente. After that, they beat Pacos de Ferreira in a game where they dominated completely Pacos de Ferreira, then against Santa Clara they were playing really bad with Santa Clara creating many chances to score, but then an amazing assist by the centre-back Chidozie unlock the game and they started to get some confidence and were able to score the 2nd goal and to win by 2-0. The most recent game was against Vizela, in a very equilibrated match where both teams having their moment in the game. For this game against Portimonense I cannot see them handling Portimonense, as they lost another very important player, their best centre-back Chidozie left the team by 5M euros. If we look at their best players of the season 2020/2021 Alberth Elis, Reggie Cannon, Rami, Ricardo Mangas and Paulinho all of them left the club. The last one to leave was Chidozie and this will be the first game since his departure.

Portimonense had some problems in the beginning of the season, specially in August which usually causes some instability in the club. The coach Paulo Sergio wanted to have new players and to show to the president his discontent he chose to rotate the whole team against Boavista for the League Cup which led to their elimination. And now they had another problem, their best player the striker Beto announced on instagram that he wanted to leave the club to join to Serie A and so the President put the player to train apart from the rest of the squad. Hopefully this problem is now sold and Portimonense made the best deal of their history, they sold Beto to Udinense by 7M euros + 3M per objectives only by 70% of the pass. They have already played without Beto against Pacos de Ferreira, where they made a very good game, but missing a lot of chances by the striker Renato Junior. But, with this international stop they recovered Fabricio and so he is now able to play this game. They bought in August the winger that cost more than 10M to Porto Nakajima and he will be an amazing upgrade to the team, and he will be an amazing boost of confidence for the team. I think that Portimonense will create a lot of problems to Boavista who is still trying to be a solid team.
