In my opinion Portugal is clear favorite of today's match up and they should be able to make comfortable win today with at least 2/3 goals margin at Estadio Do Algarve in Faro.

For Portugal first position in group is priority, real must-have. After 3 rounds played they have the same amount of points like Serbia. Any other result here than routine win will be considered as a serious failure. Ireland lost first two opening matches and their chances for first two places are already extremely slim. For sure home loss against Luxembourg were very painful. I simply cannot imagine big confidence around their locker room before a first whistle.

It's real home game for hosts-only local crowd at the stadium. Irish supporters due to restrictions are not allowed to enter the ground.

Guests coming for today's match with serious squad problem. Their offensive stars Callum Robinson from WBA and Shane Long from Southampton are not fit enough to play. This is huge blow for offensive formation. Other key player, Matt Doherty from Tottenham is not in top shape, he played only 7 minutes in Premier League so far. First goalkeeper Randolph is unavailable today, same as important midfielders Stevens and Knight (both played previously in important matches).

Fernando Santos side looks very strong on the paper when players like Rui Patricio, Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo, Diogo Jota or Bruno Fernandes are included in the team. Obviously, all eyes are on Cristiano Ronaldo. Two reasons for that - his transfer to Manchester United and opportunity to break historical record of goals for National team. For sure he have extremely big motivation to make big showcase here.

It's very interesting for me how Ireland will try to play here. Their coach Stephen Kenny said: ‘You can’t go to Portugal and defend for 90 minutes.' In my opinion it's very risky approach - if he will leave space for Portuguese offensive stars, his team will be in huge troubles.

I expect high quality, fully focused performance from Portugal. Their coach said: "Ireland works a lot, fights a lot. If we're not at our best level, we could have problems. You have to respect your opponent a lot."
