In the first round I did back Getafe X2 away at Valencia, not because they are any good but I believed that the match would go their way in the so called "Bordalas"-derby.

Indeed it started as planned as Valencia took a red card in the first minute, but what happened after that was a disgustingly poor Getafe performance as the xG - timing chart below shows:

they lost the the goal expectation even with playing most of the game with 11 v 10!

Also their central centre-back took two yellow cards and should had been suspended today, but one of the cards got cancelled and he is available. Nevertheless, he is not especially good defender. There is not much we learned from that match, but Sevilla are one closer to full fitness as well, and the new signing Lamela scoring twice made a world of good for self-confidence and he is likely to start today instead of injured Ocampos in the left.

Sevilla also made a superb signing, a good target striker Rafa Mir brings them a lot more options upfront if and when big and strong man is needed, he is totally opposite player type to En-nesyri, and there still are the attacking full-backs and long-shot threat from Papu Gomez. Another signing option was Alaves' Joselu.

Keeper Dmitrovic who came from Eibar gave a good impression, and Sevilla are on paper a title candidate, although their most valuable asset centre-back Kounde will be sold sooner or later, when the price is right!

Hard to tell exactly what we will get from Getafe this season, but my feeling is that only the aggressivity of Bordalas have kept them up so far, they also had to let Take Kubo go and there is very little class in possession, and the only goal threats come from Arambarri who shoots a lot and rather well but hopelessly far away, and from wingers Cucurella and Vitolo. For the attacking pair of Unal and Sandro Ramirez I have very little trust!

No important absentees at either side as especially Sevilla can replace anyone at the moment, and Sevilla have the best 11 players on the pitch, and the better coach in Lopetegui.
