After a poor finish last season, Hannover is hoping to fight their way back to the first tier. With a fresh squad and a new coach Jan Zimmermann, '96 is chasing the top three spots. H96 comes from a 1-1 tie against recently-relegated Werder Bremen, and will now be facing Hansa Rostock at home. Hansa is back to the second division after a nine-year struggle in the third tier. However, their first game of the season resulted in a 1-3 loss vs. Karlsruher, and a similar outcome is expected against Hannover. The last time Hannover welcomed Hansa resulted in a 3-0 victory, and with no injuries on both sides, we have an exciting match ahead of us.

Hannover was a better opponent in their first duel, but conceded after an unfortunate own goal from Simon Falette. Offensively, the hosts seem to cope well, led by amazing striker Marvin Ducksch who contributed to twenty-three goals last season. He scored in his last three appearances, and could easily be seen finding the net in the upcoming clash. Hannover's biggest problem in the previous season was defending, as they received fifty-one goals during that campaign. A well-performing attack still made them the only team with a positive goal difference in the bottom-nine of the ladder.

Hansa wasn't that poor against Karlsruher in their opening game, but it just wasn't enough to earn any points. Jens Hartel continues to do well with his team during his three-year stay in the club, but it is no doubt that Rostock will be fighting for just another season in the league.

H96 is a favorite to win this game in my opinion, and I will put my hopes in them not to disappoint. Good luck!
